Vessel IT Engineer

Role Description

The successful candidate will be part of our Fleet IT department and will be responsible for managing, supporting, maintaining, upgrading the onboard infrastructure reporting to IT manager. The IT engineer will provide remote IT support.and when required onboard support on our vessels.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide remote support to vessels and crew
  2. Install configure and troubleshoot Servers, printers, computers, virtual machines, storage systems and network devices.
  3. Monitor performance of the Satellite equipment and ensure availability and reliability.
  4. Perform system and network updates/upgrades.
  5. Liaise with vendors, providers and other IT personnel for problems resolution and troubleshooting.
  6. Provide out-of -hours/ weekend support as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Bsc in Computer science or equivalent;
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience
  3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Apps.
  4. Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting
  5. Basic Network knowledge, firewall, Mikrotik switches
  6. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure.
  7. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English



Information Technology Support Administrator

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Piraeus for an Information Technology (IT) Administrator. The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing the company’s computer systems, software, and network infrastructure. Daily tasks include providing technical support to employees, monitoring system performance, managing user accounts, and ensuring system and network security. Additionally, your tasks will involve documenting procedures, backing up and archiving data, creating data retrieval and recovery protocols, and establishing effective end-user feedback and error reporting systems.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience as an IT Administrator.
  2. Experience with network and server administration, database management, and virtualization
  3. Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as Active Directory
  4. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide technical support to employees.
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  7. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  8. Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  9. 1-2 years of experience in Information Technology Administration, preferably in the maritime industry.
